Leadership - is it essential?
What does Leadership mean to you?

In my experience, all successful business owners have developed really good Leadership skills. But how do you do it?

If you answer any of the following questions 'no' - don't worry - you're not alone. However, experience tells me that if you are willing to apply these lessons, you will see significant upturn within your business.

1. Do you know what you want from your business, both personally and professionally?

Being able to define a clear vision for your business, one that is fully aligned to your personal objectives is critical for any business owner.

The most important aspect of all this however, is alignment. All too often, there is a conflict between realising your personal objectives (more time with family, increased freedom, improved financials etc) and achieving the business goals. This creates pressure and stress and pulls you away from achieving either.

2. Do you have a clear and concise plan of how to achieve your objectives?

I'm not talking about a detailed business plan - they're hardly touched once completed! No, what I'm talking about is a series of milestones that will get you from where you are now to your final destination.  Without such a plan, how can you know whether you are making progress or falling behind?

3. Have you clearly communicated your plans to your team?

Many business owners don't do this and really challenge me when I state that it is absolutely essential to do so. Why essential? Because I think that it is better to know who is batting on your side and who will be the blockers sooner rather than later.

By clearly stating your short, medium and longer term plans and milestones, you will better engage with your team and I often find that some of the best ideas that will help me to achieve these targets are developed not by me, but by the team around me.

Fill out the form above and as well as receiving our regular newletter jam packed with tips for business growth and offers to create your business success, we will send you with our compliments, Tony Lockwood's FREE Report "How to implement a Blueprint for Your Business Success", which includes a simple 10 question framework to help you to create a dynamic and motivating vision for your future business.
